I just spoke with Alice. She said a conservative peice count estimate would be 200,000 elements, but the number could easily reach as high as 500k. It sort of snowballed as the project grew over the years.

This is a fantastic display of LEGO creations and I'm so glad you took the time to take pictures and write up a blog post about the convention. Of course the Hogwarts castle would be near and dear to my heart -- did you ever find out how many bricks Alice used to make that display? I love the Batcave and your mini Hogwarts too! :D The LEGO convention of the LEGO convention was brilliant as well. All in all a great blog post and really good photos to go along with it. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

I'm quite the noob when it comes to comic books. I've read "Y: The Last Man", and I'm keeping up with "The Walking Dead". They're both amazing, real, and intense. I've been trying to find another series that fits the bill, but haven't succeeded yet. Any suggestions? (Preferably mature ones with drama, gore, and suspense!)

In an effort to increase contributions to the blog a number of suggestions have been put forward as potential topics. Original literature short stories was one suggestion, and I wrote this to see how it might be received.

What sort of preface were you thinking of?
